It's such shocking parenting, and has the habit of becoming a generational response.
I was thinking about my own childhood. Parents never ever hugged their children, or kissed them.It was a cultural thing. We had fun. We knew we were loved, but no real open display of love.
As an adult I have wondered about this.
To me it's such a natural human thing, to hug, to kiss, to have fun, to reassure, yet it doesn't happen for many children.
I've seen this type of parenting play out Barbara. One could almost write the script. Love seems so far away from their everyday responses, resulting in emotionally crippled adults who carry on the rhetoric.
