It's a deal. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I actually wanted to send you a recipe that takes a weekend to make, but is so delicious. You make it in parcels so lots to freeze if you're not making for the masses.

It's Sri Lankan.

I made it for a friend's 40th birthday party. It so happened that the owner of one of Canberra's finest restaurants was there on the night.

She asked in her loudest voice, who had made the food. Just for a moment I froze, thinking she might have found a hair or something in her package. But no, all was well.

She declared she'd never tasted anything so delicious.

I totally agree.

Sharmaine Solomon's book is out of print, but if you're prepared to pay an arm and a leg, you can still buy it second hand. Many of her recipes are wonderful, but Lamprais is by far my favourite.
