It wasn't. But to be fair to him it was very much about selling. I will never be good at that. I'm sure it benefitted others.

There's a lot of luck in being discovered, but having plenty of cash to throw at things surely helps.

I wouldn't like to be in his shoes though. Mud tends to stick.
