My daughter is getting married in a few weeks. Having been through some rocky times with my MIL, who has since passed on, there is so much I learned not to do in the same role.

One is, when grandchildren come along, to remember they are not yours, and whether or not you believe a child should be reprimanded for something, or not, it is still not your call.
