Interesting, Micah! I have been using kettle bells for some time now. I was a distance runner for years, but stopped because of knee problems, pain that I no longer have by the way. (I have written about that on Medium! But some weeks ago, when walking, I tripped over a small stone (trip, one, two, three, four, five steps forward, (yes I counted), and I was good to go. No falls! Immediately I thought that I must have gained strength. As for getting out of chairs, so far, great. I make a habit of trying to use muscle to do that.

But also, I am pretty sure that diet is a vital component for this. The two work synergistically.

Thanks for the reminder.
