In writing this I am aware that many people will click off, because the very idea of what I am going to suggest is somewhat abhorrent to them.

Much of that reaction may be based on the age of the reader, so if you are younger, bear with me. I assure you it’s not macabre.

Imagine, if you will, attending your own wake. Stay with me please! I promise not to depress you. Try to imagine…

You have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and though presently you are relatively well, you know that soon you will meet your demise, as we all will. You’re really not in the mood for imagining such a thing.

And yet, as the days and weeks pass, you realize that, if you were given one extra day, or week, or month, any extra time on earth, what you would really like to do, is…
