In the lead up to the funeral, I, a Scot, only realized the size of Balmoral Castle. It occurred to me as a bllght on the landscape in terms of today. Imagine it all those centuries ago, when Scottish people were so poor. At that ime there was an in-your-face sense of a them and us situation. Sadly, nothing has changed.
