I'd have clean sheets every day if it didn't harm the environment.

Was thinking about what a chore it is to do the washing.

There's only my husband and me these days, so I have things down pat.

All colored clothes just go directly into our machine, and whites into another bucket.

Washing clothes amounts to putting some powder in the machine and walking away. This happens twice a week - whites, and coloreds. It's mindblowingly complicated.

And then there's the ironing. T-towels are taken in when dry, and rolled, then into a drawer.

Sheets in summer at least, often are put back onto our bed. No ironing needed. That's for visitors!!!

Things are sorted and put away as I bring them inside.

And everything happens so easily, so quickly and efficiently.

I kind like this, though it evokes memories of my poor mum washing, and ironing for a large family, often struggling to get things dry in a British winter.

I don't LOVE it, but neither do I dislike. The efficiency is what I like.
