I would have had to forego visits. even the masks disturbed me.

I found a walking track around the lake close to our home,one that few used.

I looked forward to every single walk, without a mask, listening to the birds.

On the odd occasion that I saw someone in the distance, I donned my mask, as did the other person. Almost always we stopped and had a chat from a distance.

Those were lonely days.
