I wonder what percentage of people is misdiagnosed? Plenty would be my answer.

The other thing to bear in mind though, is that people have implicit faith in doctors. I don't, and it's not because of an entrenched eversion to them. Medicine is not big business, and doctors are on a treadmill day and daily. How on earth can they ever have the time, or energy, to dig deeper? Even when there's a hint of symptoms being of something else, it's next please, and the show is on the road.
There are two types of patients as far as I can see, those who have infinite trust in their doctors, and those who conduct ther own research, getting past the first few pages of Google to do so.
