I was coming back to make another comment and here you are!
My friend's daughter, a lawyer, went out with a group of friends a few years ago, to a posh restaurant along the lake in Canberra.
They were offered a soup, compliments of the house.
Amy asked if there was any seafood in it as she is highly allergic to it. No, no seafood, so they accepted the soup.
Thirty minutes later, she was fighting for her life, a young mother with three children.
It turns out some of the spoons in the kitchen had been put in the wrong place. That was all it took, to being as close to death as she will ever be, without actually dying.
If that can happen in a high-end eatery, what else can go wrong in the cheaper places?
