I think we need to bear in mind that some writers are writing in their second language. I try not to reject on linguistic problems. Grammarly is not always helpful, and not always correct, so spending quality time explaining things to a writer, is important.

I think there's a fine line between being correct, and letting a cute little way of saying something pass under the radar!

But at the end of the day, we are talking about two-way relationships. We want to do the best as an editor, but support the writer at the same time.
