I remember the day after our daughter was born. I just wanted to be pregnant again, and give the world yet another perfect little human.
Like you I remember on one particular occasion, watching her studying a colourful toy that was close to reach above her cradle. She watched for a time, putting her hand out to touch it, but drawing back, just in case.
But then she dared to touch it and gurgled with joy, touching it again and again, no longer tentative.
She was always a cautious child, always waiting to be sure. Her personality was sewn then, and she still tends to adopt the wait and see attitude, even in adulthood.
Congratulations on becoming a grandma.
