I read about a doctor who went to live with an African group to study them. Seemed they never suffered ill-health, and when it was time for them to die, they simply removed themselves from the group.

In all the time the doctor was with them, they never ever washed their hands, so neither did he.

Nobody got sick.

I think we tend to be overly cautious about germs. This doesn't serve us well.

We lived in Malaysia for a while and often when eating with local friend s we ate with our fingers, as we do when we eat fruit, nuts, and so on.

When I was little and we had the rare treat of fish and chips, we ate with our fingers.

Our fingers are there for a purpose.

Nice story, Shruti.
