I read a book recently, Susie. I expected little of it, a romance, a genre i almost never read, but I was tired, and it was an op-shop purchase.

It was totally without substance, sleazy, and yet, I persevered to see if it might get better. It didn't.

I went online to see if the author had any reviews. She had, all of them 5-star.

And see that is the writer's dilemma. Write shitty, skeletal, unbelievable drama, and with great covers and money to advertise, you're home and hosed.
