I personally think it's a great idea. Many years ago, friends of ours, all teachers began to think about either buying land and putting small homes inn it, or buying a large home and converting it.

I subscribe to having a small home , but having a place where we can cook and dine together, if we wish.

Behind our plan though, we had some requisites.

- a love of cooking

- technical nouse

-musical ability

- interest in drama,

- gardening skills

Also, you couldn't be boring.

We could hire cleaners, share a driver,

At the time we thought it a wonderful idea. These days even more so.

I truly wish it could have worked out. Sadly we all moved away and the person who mooted the idea in the first place,now has dementia.
