I often wonder about the percentage of students who have even some appreciation of the environment.
There's a book called "Last Child in the Woods" by Richard Louv. He wrote it quite a number of years ago when his children were young. It's even more relevant today.
In the book, he asks some of the children where their favourite places to play, were.
One said, inside, because that's where all the power points are.
I'm not sure when I felt so sad.
I walk along a restored railway line. It's a pleasant and safe place to walk, but I don't have the opportunity to photograph nature ... or maybe I need to open my eyes to opportunity.
