I need to go back and have a look at this. I understand what you are saying Walter. It's a little bit like when children don't know how to end a story and they just write that the character woke up. It had all been a dream. I would slam my students for this, and tell them that they had to problem solve to make a better conclusion.

But I do have a story where the main character is woken up by a piece of classical music and she realizes that she will never ever have to use an alarm clock in her life. That hints at a plan she has made.
