I love the paralell that John Whye has drawn between Chat GPT and the Titanic in his recent post. He writes about ChatGBT.
"It is a tragedy waiting to happen because of blind arrogance, technological hubris, and refusal or lack of imagination to provide adequate safeguards."
A tragedy waiting to happen...
Just as the Titanic was.
"People scrambled to get tickets for its maiden voyage because they were convinced it was the best example of state-of-the-art technical knowledge, a wonder of the world in 1912. It was an honor to be able to score passage on its maiden voyage. It was billed as unsinkable and cutting-edge."
But it sank, and lives were lost, and it scared the living daylight of many.
This is so worth reading.
