I like to think that is is the minority that even considers skin color. Children don't descrimiate at all. As a teacher I never once came across children being excluded because of colour, though I accept that it happens.

As for me, a little color would be wonderful.

There's a wonderful song called 'The Color Bar. One verse about children name-calling goes like this:

'It's not because they feel that they are different after all. It's because they hear the trumpeting of hate, and its loud call. It's because their parents tell them there's a difference in their skin, and that mixing up the color is to them a mortal sin.'

I really hope we have gone beyond this, but change happens so slowly.
