I just assumed they were swamped with comments, until I noticed one thing about some writers. Where it was very important to the writer, or was a comment promoting them, they did make a response.

If you are an editor of a publication, however, you should show up for your writers from time to time, because the message to the writer on the other end, if you never do, is that you don't care.
