I have a friend who would have easily 100 mugs, all behind glass doors. She loves STUFF. I don't. In all my house moves, I whittle things down, and I think carefully about needs and wants.

I have another friend who has a linen room, not a closet as it is much too big. It is filled with linen, some of it pre-war stuff. I just don't understand that.
