I hate to say this, but I was always happy when our daughter didn't follow through with the winter sports she elected to do. They were always early in the morning and no amount of layering could assuage the winter bites.

Interestingly I pushed myself out to run right through winter, but sitting on the sidelines was agony.

I would have enjoyed some skating. :)
