Actually, thinking about it, I was not a runner at twenty, anything but.
Though this story is fiction, I started running when my husband got serious.and he was already an impressive squash player.I couldn't bear the idea that he would go on to become a serious runner and I would jut get out of shape.
In time we got involved in the Canberra fun runs, and the first time I beat him, was when I thought I could maybe get more serious. I then started marathon running.
