I find winters very tough, Sally, but I always remind myself that a Scottish winter was a whole lot tougher.

My dad was never deterred by the cold. He was out in the thick of it, hardly ever missing a day in the cold elements. He lived in Canada for five years , and even in those horrendously cold times, he was out experiencing it.
