However one looks at what you did, and there will be many people who knock it, it was bravery. More importantly it was living.
You can stay holed up in your home country forever, stay protected, live vicariously through your children and grandchildren, but it's not living.
As for home, we are always home.
In your American apartment, you were home.
In your first rented place in France, chez moi, you were home.
Back in America, you will be home.
And then you will go back…home.
We're always home...wherever we are.
