Hi Shasi - In general I share your views, though I did us the word 'shitty' as in a shitty garage sale, simply because I thought long and hard for a better word, but couldn't,find one. Sad, dreadful, awful, socking, just didn't quite cut it.

It's a post that did well. Did the word lure people in? I really don't know, but it's not how I would usually write. I am put off with stories full of expletives, though, and words that I consider to be vulgar.
