Hi Roger, I did love my job, but by the time I left I was rather disenchanted.

I never wanted a promotional position. The classroom was where I found myself. But those who did want to leave the classroom, for obvious reasons, and attained higher positions, were often not easy to respect.

I still, like you I guess, keep in touch with a number of students, and that is lovely.
