Hi Klara, subbing is a much better term. It's interesting. I always planned never to do it because I saw the way sub teachers were treated both by staff and students. But somehow I was lured back to my old school, and to another one where I was welcomed in. BUT in the new school, many students thought we were not qualifies teachers!! Of course that was the fault of the hierarchy.

I no longer do it, but I am feeling guilty about that. There is such a shortage of teachers here in Oz because of conditions, Covid, etc.

Your little group would be a relief teacher's dream here.

I actually loved my job. In my last school, we were , thanks to a forward-thinking deputy who really ran the school, the lighthouse school for Canberra.

A few of us would venture into two of the universities and conduct model lessons, and at a later stage, the students would spend a day in our classrooms.

Some of those students have gone on to be principals, something I NEVER wanted to be.
