Hi Jennica - I watched the election with great interest and you are absolutely right in what you say.

I have a very good friend who is Filippina but escaped many years ago. Eventually she was able to convince her parents, her father in particular who held rank in the Marcos regime, to flee the country and seek political asylum here in Australia.

I hope things turn around for all of you. My hysband and I spent some time in your country. We loved it, but were saddened by the extent of poverty.
