Hi Freda, for the first time ever, we are not on the same page.

I didn’t watch the coronation. I wrote fiercely about why. That pony show cost the people, not the multi-billionaire royals, 100 million dollars…many of the Brits right now, crippled by rising debt, unable to pay their bills.

Secondly royalty has no place in society. It’s outdated, expensive, and serves nobody but the royals.

BUT, my sister, loves the pomp and ceremony too, and she’s right there, in the thick of it, living in Scotland where poverty is rife.

I do wonder if they will ever dare appoint William. There’s such a lot of disquiet.
