Have you read any of Viktor Frankl's work? I have a lovely friend here on Medium, a superb writer, and he was in prison for a while. It' was in reading Frankl's Man's Search For Meaning' that he found his way. He now visits prisons and basically rehabilitates them. This is one of my favorite quotes. “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
