Hello Afzal - I think your perspective is, with respect, entrenched in Asian culture. But it's certainly now what is practiced here in Australia, Britain, and all English-speaking countries. There is this saying, Tell me and I forget. teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I learn. That's very much the essence of teaching here.

I no longer teach but I wove much of this into my classroom learning.
I have to say I LOVED my teaching career once I learned to start where children KNOW, and journey to what they DIDN"T know, within the constraints of the curriculum of course.
