Happy Year New
Let a perfectionist show you the way…
Our daughter moved into her new home less than two weeks ago, so Christmas came and went amid a sea of unopened boxes, and all sorts of things seemingly having gone missing.
Despite that, her tree was perfectly decorated, with gold and silver ornaments all hanging harmoniously together.
The kitchen was super-organized, because that’s just how she is. Everything has a place.
And despite her exhaustion, she was intent on having a New Year’s Eve party, the food all prepared by her. Everything looked beautiful, perfectly-strung kebabs, marinated steaks, organic pate, colorful salads, yuletide meringue roll, tiramisu, as well as tempting pre-dinner food.
With her house acceptably organized, all she had to do was hang the festive sign. On unwrappinng it she realized that the letters were not strung together. She had to thread them individually onto a longish lace, that had been thoughtfully supplied. This she did, breaking a few holes in the ‘quality’ pieces, which she then had to fix with glue.
Eventually it was done and she asked if I could help her hang it out on her deck which we managed, despite simultaneously fighting the wind which had picked up. But hang it we did.
