Great article, Maria. I grew up on a diet of sugar, which was bad. It's how large families were fed, though.
There is no doubt in my mind that sugar is bad. You only have to look in the mouths of the average Scot who received 'free' dental treatment. Our mouths are a monument to 'free'.
The HFCS is believe is even worse. Combine that with all the pretend ingredients with hidden agendas, (to make you want more and more) and we have morbid obesity for those who eat the stuff.
Growing up in Scotland, with all the sugar, I never ever saw shapes that I see today. Young mothers wearing, I'm guessing plus size clothes is a crisis we need to address.
When we put profit before health we have a rollercoaster of health issues, cancer is heading the rest.
