GC, just in reading your post I notice two important aspects that draw the reader in.

You use white spaces to break up the narrative. This allows readers to scan to see if a story interests them, or not!

And you keep paragraphs short. Again, this enhances scanning.

Another I would add is the use of sub-headings.
