First of all Mehmet, I congratulate you on how well you have conducted yourself in spite of all that has happened to you in recent times.

It's not easy to stand tall in the face of negativity, and dare I say, what many of us see as, punishment?

That Medium has not come out and shared what is actually going on, or how things are, leaves writers at sea and hoping that things will change in order to become an even better platform.

I wouldn't read a seeming lack of support from writers, as truth.

Sure we have writers continuing to write in spite of all that's going on, but they're trying to be both positive and hopeful.

I haven't written much in recent times. I simply can't find the energy or inspiration at the moment as I'm dealing with personal issues I could never have imagined.

But I want to respond to this:

"And if Medium collapses under the weight of its own missteps, I will not let its essence die — I will create something better."

Having worked with you Mehmet, I know your level of ethics, and your supreme understanding of an online business, so this is the most positive Medium-related thing I have read this month.

Not to put pressure on you of course, but you're already au fait with how a successful publication should, and does, work. I know how much you have bled to be a forceful blogger within what has been, a large organisation.
