Fabulous article Grandma Curious. Sadly, I don't think we will ever be able to find out EXACTLY what causes early menstruation. I was certainly in high school, but there was very little junk 'food' around, or allowed.

I think the more factory food we allow our children to eat, the better prepared we should be for the consequential health issues.

I have seen horrid responses to fast food in the students I taught. They were the lucky ones, because often parents responded the warnings re additives.

At my last school we made things easy for parents re birthday celebrations. At the tuck shop they could order muffins that you could hardly jump over!

On one occasion my students had the said muffins, went out to play, and when they came back inside, one student threw very chair, EVERY ONE across, the room, because he was angry!

I had to get all students out of the classroom as safely as possible, and call for help.

The rogue student sat under a tree for an hour or so, then sheepishly came back to class. He was a very nice young boy!

In those few moments of madness though, he was absolutely out of control.

The muffin party idea, was subsequently abandoned.

So many chemicals in food that we have no reall idea about.
