Did I tell you I caught the Dumfries bus from Glasgow each day, where I was studying?

Also, my husband and I went to live on Bougainville Island in PNG for a year, and a new neighbor moved in, from Scotland. It turned out ouur parents knew each other well.

Also, a friend of mine in Adelaide, went to England to visit her daughter who was doing a PhD. in Oxford. They rented a gite in France. The owner was a Scot and mentioned that his best friend in high school also lived in Adelaide, but sadly they had lost touch. He happened to mention his friend's name. It was my brother Michael, a well-known figure in Adelaide. My friend called me, I called Michael, and within 20 minutes they were in touch. Now that is serendipity.

Another one...my parents were in South Africa visiting my sister, and bumped into their Scottish next-door neighbors. By that time they had been living in Adelaide for a long time. What are the chances?
