Dementia, it is so difficult to deal with. To see a family member going from being a mathematics professor, to overnight being diagnosed, was incredibly difficult. His journey was long and frustrating. He'd buy books on mathematical structures and carry them around with him, always pondering, pen in hand, glasses to the ready. The routines were there.
