Deborah I don't know when I read anything so incredibly sad.

The pathos of living in isolation, probably in the middle of suburbia, is such a reminder to all of us, not to assume that all is well with any one person.

I've read reports here about people living in affluent suburbs, hoarders, who shut themselves away, dying alone, the odour being the first clue to neighbours that something is wrong.

We could all do better, easy to say, but much more difficult to put into practice.

As for the clean up that has to follow, all I can say is

Tim is one special human. You don't do that kind of job for money or prestige. Kudos to the Tims of this world.

I'm sure they have dealt with many situations where payment is not even up for grabs.

As for your friend, I can only offer you my condolences. Nothing I say will make you feel better.

One thing I will say is we can all learn from such a story. I'm sure it was agony to write. 💜💛💜
