Consequential strangers...I just love the term. Everyone we meet, everyone we acknowledge as pass by, could well become our best friend in times of need.

I have been so fortunate to meet quite a few of them where we now live. Perhaps I am my dad reincarnated.

When I was a little girl, he'd take us all out into the country, walking, walking, walking...yes, there was method in his madness. We were all exhausted by the time we got home.

The point I want to make is he seemed to know everybody. t least that was my thought as a child.

These days, I make a point of saying hello to people. Some stop and chat, but others at least smile, or wish me a happy day. But you never know where that smile will take you...nothing in life is inconsequential.
