Christmas Gift Unfortunately Unwrapped…

I’m chuckling as I write this…

So yesterday was the last school day of the year here in Ozland.

As always, the children were lined up, incredibly excited to be handing over their gifts.

One little girl stood apart from the others. Her gift was in a zip-lock bag.

‘I’m sorry,’ her mother said. ‘They were in a box, but i got hungry and ate some.’

The thought was there, but it made me reflect on one gift I received some years ago.

It was a newspaper bag of green soap. We have plenty more at home,’ the child said.

You know I never could throw those soaps out. Ours was a disadvantaged school, and stolen or not, the gift was from the heart.

Christmas puts some students in a predicament. They have no gift.

So why not wrap a bag of green soap, with love?
