Charles I really am not convinced that followers are what earnings are all about. Finding what people want to read about, may well be one, but titles really are like clickbait I suppose. If you get it right, people will read you.

The other thing you may like to have a look at is in your settings. If you go into settings and scroll down until you see SEO settings. That will tell you what your reader is first looking at. If it's boring to you, most likely it will be to your reader. You can change that to make it more enticing.Hope this helps.
