Carolyn if I could have given this post 500 claps, I would have. Your perspective is so heart-warming and authentic.

The homeless situation is only going to get worse. I see it here in Australia, some young couples, with children, who don't have the deposit to buy a home, but have rented for some years, have suddenly seen rents skyrocket, and they are now literally on the street.

So these are people who are not on drugs, do have jobs (some of them not qualifying for social housing because the earn too much (maybe it's time they evaluated their rules.)

One of the cases I read about, the husband was an air traffic controller. His salary was just over $100k. Not exactly a mind-blowing salary when you have rent, three children to support, all exacerbated by rising food costs.

You are right about the tent people. One wrong mistake, can lead o situations that impact at the speed of light.
