Because that is traditionally what was regarded as intellect! I was a teacher, and when Howard Gradener came up with his theory of mumtiple intelligences I was so thrilled. Suddenly we were accepted into the ranks. Suddenly I could say to parents who'd tell me their kids were all over the ship...dreamers, creators, I was able to tell them that there were lots of creativity going on in their pretty little heads. Imagine if we wer all engineers or mathematicians!

Right now I am in the throes of writing a tongue-in-cheek post about my husband. He'd fit right into your family. He's very much the mathematician and he brings that to the table more often than not. I'm not sure he will let me publish it, but we'll see.
