When Less Proves To Be More

To enjoy your favorite things, try having fewer of them.

You know that saying, chase your tail and all you’ll get is more behind!

That saying fits many of us perfectly, me in particular!

My day used to start at dawn, and it certainly wasn’t finished at dusk. Something was wrong.

I could have wished for more hours in the day. But what good would that have been without the requisite energy?

Something had to give.

So there was me, always chasing my tail, and others whose lives, by contrast, seemed calm and serene.

Their homes glowed with assured order and cleanliness, and they themselves, seemed unflappable. Time was always within their control.

How could this be?

I have since reached the conclusion that one can only be in control by prioritizing.

Let’s see how that statement plays out.

I have a friend who falls into the perfectionist category, and she does it all with that seeming grace I referred to.

Her home gleams like a five-star resort.

Home-baked food is always on offer, yet her kitchen looks like it’s never used.
