Barb why on earth would you not rat on the store?
In some ways this is the only defence we have.
I was in Woolworths the other day, at the cheese section and an employee was stacking in front of me.
"Oh sorry," she said, I'll move."
I told her not to worry that I was determining whether I could afford to eat,or not, this week.
And then our secret ratting and ranting began.
She told me that two years ago she fed her family of five for $200 PW. Now she spends $250 for two of them. Pretty much what I am experiencing.
So I left to do the rest of my carefully-selected shopping and just happened to ask my husband how we were going with dishwasher tabs because they were half-price. And then I checked again
What were a few months go, $37 for a large pack are now, wait for it, $72!!!!
Seventy-two dollars for 58 tablets of not-very-good-for-the-environment STUFF!!! But no worries they are now half price.
So I say, rat and rant all you like. With a surname like Rattray I'm allowed a free reign. 💛💜💛
