Asa teacher I look back on many of these bold, excluders, and I know some of them won't be doing so well.

My daughter had a term for those who didn't quite make the exclusive group...the fringe dwellers. They're still very much fringe dwellers.

I used to worry about my daughter. She was quite shy. However, in her adult years she stands so much taller, and more successful than any of her peers.

I have to say though, teachers can, and should turn these issues around. That is a HUGE part of their job.
