The Authentic Eclectic

Are You Beautiful? And Why On Earth Does It Even Matter?

Consider the butterfly that has no idea about beauty. Instead, in its short life it tends to its life’s purpose, after which it happily dies.

‘Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.’

When you go into the garden, do you stop and ensure that every flower you cut is exactly symmetrical, perfect in every leaf, and petal, or do you discard the one that’s not quite as full and robust as the others?

Of course you don’t!

The reason for that is that collectively these flowers come together as pure perfection. Their color and perfume brighten the most humble corner. They pour out joy, and abundant happiness.

The butterfly behaves in the same way. The butterfly doesn’t look for perfection. It has a job to do.

‘Butterflies are great for your garden as they are attracted to bright flowers and need to feed on nectar.

‘When they do this their bodies collect pollen and carry it to other plants. This helps fruits, vegetables and flowers to produce new seeds.
